You Can Make $ From You’re Photos!

September 12th, 2008 by Randy

Like to take pictures? Have a Flickr account or some other depository where you put all those home grown photographs you’ve been accumulating? Want to make a little extra case with them? You can. All you need is a little information, a few tips, and a small bag of tricks.

It used to work this way: Graphic and web designers would buy expensive packages of stock photos and they would use whatever images they had available – but now with the explosion of digital cameras and the ease of photo distribution, companies want more options - and PHOTO SITES JUST CAN’T KEEP UP!

Today, companies need more variety to choose from, so they can develop stronger brands and enhance their unique selling proposition (USP).

They spend a slue of time searching for photographs with just the right touch; photos with something unique that makes them stand apart from their competitors.

And today, photography sites are franticly searching for people (just like you and me) to upload whatever photos they can get their hands on …

… Because they know that image buyers are first attracted to websites that have hoards of pictures – however, once they find someone who understands their unique needs, they’ll stick to them like glue.

So to grow their websites as FAST as possible, photography sites are offering unheard of commissions – some as high as a 60% for each photo sold. It’s amazing!

But what’s even better is that with all the graphic enhancing software and the cropping capabilities available, you don’t have to submit award-winning photos, or need to invest in any expensive machinery.

When you know what photos are selling like hotcakes, all you need is a trigger-happy camera finger.

Think about it: To attract image buyers; photography websites need hoards of pictures – right? But to keep buyers coming back, they also need a constant stream of high-demand pictures too.

And your photos won’t be ideal for everyone – however with a bunch of people taking just the right shots, you;ll keep customers hooked and coming back for more.

Plus, someone also figured out which photography websites are the best to work with. They’ve analyzed these sites, scrutinized the commission structure, compared the top sellers, and created an easy to follow winning formula that works each and every time.

You already have what it takes to do exactly what they’re doing. Heck, they’re no different than you. They’re no better!

Why spend a month or two researching all this on your own? Sure, in the end you’ll probably know who to work with and what type of pictures to take too, but why reinvent the wheel. It’s a waste of time!

There’s no better time to start a photography business than right NOW! It’s an income-boosting magnet!

If you want to take a look, then go to this site for the information you need to get rolling! It’s never too late to start. Especially if you have a slew of photos just sitting on your hard drive or memory card doing nothing.

Pass The Butter … please.

August 28th, 2008 by Randy

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys.  When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back.  It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter.  How do you like it?  They have come out with some clever new flavorings.

DO YOU KNOW.. the difference between margarine and butter?

Read on to the end…gets very interesting!

  1. Both have the same amount of calories.
  2. Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at grams compared to 5 grams.
  3. Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.
  4. Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.
  5. Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added!
  6. Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.
  7. Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

And now, for Margarine…

  1. Very high in trans fatty acids.
  2. Triple risk of coronary heart disease.
    Increases total cholesterol
and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)
  3. Increases the risk of cancers up to five times the normal risk.
  4. Lowers quality of breast milk.
  5. Decreases immune response.
  6. Decreases insulin response.
  7. And here’s the most disturbing fact…. HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERy INTERESTING!
  8. Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC!!!

This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

Try this test yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area.  Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

  • No flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)
  • It does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value; nothing will grow on it.  Even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow.  Why?  Because it is nearly plastic.  Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends….. (If you want to ‘butter them up’)!

Upgrading WordPress

July 22nd, 2008 by Randy

Hello bloggers… Randy here..

I decided to upgrade my 2 year old version of WordPress© yesterday.  I started through the whole back up your blog and database routine.  I thought that there had to be a better solution.  Not that my skills weren’t up to it.  It’s just a matter of why do something longhand when someone out there has a nifty solution for the problem/issue.

I poked around the WordPress© upgrade info webpage and found that nifty solution.  It’s a plugin called the WordPress Automatic Update .  This thing works GREAT!  The instructions are simple.  You don’t even have to disable your existing plugins.  It backs up your files and database.  Allows you to download them to your local machine and then upgrades to the latest version of WordPress©.  In my case that was V 2.6.

I’m sure that you could possibly screw it up somehow.  But if you follow the instructions and the screen prompts your outcome will be golden.  It seems idiot proof.

If you’re contemplating an upgrade to your WordPress© blog, then this is the plugin for you.  It’s a gem.  Visit the Techie Buzz website for the complete scoop on the plugin and the download.  It’s one of those plugins that you would be grateful to pay for, so give them a donation.

Peanut Butter….

April 27th, 2007 by Randy

I was thinking the other day about the number of people in this country who are allergic to peanut butter. Not just peanut butter but gluten, soy, lactose, etc… Why, in the span of one or two generations, do we have people allergic to all these food components? I think I know, but I don’t like the answer.

We have become genetically diluted. There are genes in the pool that weren’t there 40 years ago. Maybe it’s because more people are surviving infancy. Maybe it’s because we’re using more immunizations to protect ourselves that we were 40 years ago.

When I was a kid. When the measles or chicken pox broke out in our neighbor hood, my mother, who was a nurse and a very good one, would send one or all of us over there to play. Knowing full well that we’d get infected. But she also knew that, if we got it early, we’d get it over with and be immune for the rest of our lives.

It worked for everything but smallpox. We had to get immunized for that. Sometimes I think that her method of immunization was head and shoulders better than all the piddly shots our kids are required to get. We got the real disease. We worked our immune systems. It’s like lifting weights in the gym. If you work hard you get lasting results and benefits. It’s like immunization shots are immunity lite.

Now here’s the hard answer to the allergy question. Why are so many folks allergic all of a sudden to food products that we have been using for years? Why are they dying or going into anaphylaxis if they eat eggs, milk, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, or soy products? I believe that they got a second chance at life as an infant and are paying the price. There are so many medical techniques available that allow Doctors to increase the survival rate of newborns. Newborns that wouldn’t have survived even 40 years ago.

Now we have in our gene pool a larger number of genes that would have been weeded out. Defective genes from people who wouldn’t normally in the pool at all. Those genes are spreading through the pool and are affecting us as a body.

For those who would like more information on food allergies, go to The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network.

Virginia Tech

April 18th, 2007 by Randy

We all know by now the tragedy that happened at Virginia Tech. I would like to pass along my deepest and most heartfelt sympathy and condolences to all of those affected by this terrible and catastrophic event.

That being said, I wish to comment on some of the news coverage regarding this horrible incident. I have heard almost as much from the “powers that be” in New York City and environs about the Virginia gun laws as about the tragedy itself. So the folks in New York City have different views about gun control. That’s fine. I’m not trying to start a debate about gun control, per se.

I am commenting on one group meddling in the business of a sovereign entity’s right to exercise the choices of their constituency. The people of Virginia voted for the gun law. They’re the ones who have to live with it. If New York wants to keep guns out, fine. Let them. Don’t tell Virginia or any other state how to conduct their business. If Virginia wants to pass a law that gives out firearms to any person over the age of 15, it would be their business. If they wanted to pass a law making gun ownership a felony, that’s their business. It ain’t anyone else’s!

No matter how you feel about firearms, this is a matter of freedom of choice and states rights. If you don’t live in the state then you’ve got no business sticking your nose into their business.

Don Imus - Free Speech?

April 12th, 2007 by Randy

Don Imus shot off his mouth. He literally opened it and crammed in his foot! His comment was derogatory and reprehensible. He apologized. I won’t listen to his program either way. But……

Does he have the right to speak freely? Even though he has a public venue and a commercial audience, does free speech still apply? Sure it does. Just like the folks who are so vocal about the comment have the right to speak their mind. That’s what this country is all about. Free Speech.

I guess that I’m tired of having to listen to everybody’s opinion over and over and OVER again. Say it once and get on with you life. Should Mr. Imus be called upon to apologize. Sure. But, his apology should be to the nice people he made the comment about. He doesn’t owe anyone else anything. The injury is with the Rutgers Womens basketball team. Not the world.

It’s a squeaky wheel thing. Anybody who wants press and has any agenda will use their free speech to chime in on the subject. That’s great. That’s democracy. We have, at some point, to quit beating a dead horse and use the media for some more worthwhile purpose. That purpose isn’t to ride some ignorant rascal until we’re all sick of hearing about it.

Find something else to bitch about. Something that lifts us as a society. Not about some knucklehead’s off the cuff, insensitive comment. Get over it and move on.

Happpy Easter Tidings To All

April 8th, 2007 by Randy

Happy Easter Friends… Hi. Randy here.

I’d like to celebrate the new season of Spring with a new direction of this blog. I’m not sure where I’m going with it just yet, but I’m moving away from the commercial blog it started out to be. That part of my life is now on Profit Masters. If you get an opportunity, give us a visit.

Today, Passover has passed over, Joshua the Anointed has risen from the tomb, and Spring is in the air. I would like to give my love and appreciation to our Troops worldwide. As an Old Soldier myself, I know the loneliness of spending a holiday, any holiday, far from home. We recognize their efforts and sacrifices and just how much they preserve all our freedoms.

Happy Easter my friends. Love life and be well.
